Pressure Tank is a family run business that was started by the late Mr Ted Lloyd in September 1984, along with Mr Japie Breitenbach. Mr Lloyd's daughter Lynette Merifield has been involved in the business since its inception and when Mr Lloyd passed away in 1992, she took over the day to day running of Pressure Tank. Mr Breitenbach has since passed on.
Since 2000, Colin and Derek Merifield (Lynette's two sons) along with Chris Reeve (Lynette's third son) have joined the ranks at Pressure Tank.
At Pressure Tank we manufacture a wide range of vertical and horizontal air receivers, pressure vessels, water treatment vessels to the RSA/CI/OHSA- 8.1 and PD 5500 as amended (codes), all of the above being SANS347 Compliant. We also manufacture various capacity sandblast pot and general storage tanks. In addition we undertake all types of steel fabrication and conduct in house testing of air receivers and sandblast pots.
With the use of a Government approved inspection authority - Olivier Survey Group (OSG – PER 026). They monitor every process and procedure, pertinent to the manufacturing of the vessels.
We have a handling capacity of +/- 10 ton, a volumetric capacity of +/- 50 cubic metres and can handle vessels of up to +/- 3500 DIA x 8000 over shell length.
